Music that makes me think of Racing, part I
This song always makes me think about racing, don't ask me why, but it does. When I first heard it it made me think of Bristol for some reason. Enjoy:

NASCAR is a business, I get it
I think what happened to Matt Kenseth sucks. Where is the love Roush/Fenway Racing? Where is the respect? Roush/Fenway Racing you only have 2 Championships one with Kenseth and one with Kurt Busch. After this year both of your Cup champions will be out the door. Kurt I kind of understood at the time, though I am revisiting that given what is happening with Kenseth.
I get it NASCAR is a business. You can run a race team with out money. I just don't see how Roush/Fenway couldn't find enough money or not work hard enough to find enough money to pay the man what he is worth. Is it that hard to market a guy who wins races and HAS a championship? I get that he doesn't flash his pecs like Carl Edwards or isn't willing to take a pay cut like Biffle. The man knows how to win, doesn't have some value? Apparently, the answer is it is cheaper to throw out the old and bring in the new. Ricky Stenhouse isn't just the future, he will also work for less money than Matt Kenseth. Yes, Stenhouse has won a Nationwide Series championship, yes he is younger, but don't let yourselves be fooled. Matt Kenseth might be older, but he isn't old Yeller, he still has a lot to offer. Just not a big enough sponsorship to pay for his continued presence at his current race team.
In the end it is all about nickles and dimes, lots of nickles and dimes. That is the lesson you should take away from this, it doesn't matter who you are, how long you've been there, what you've done, if you can't pay your way, it's time to go. Matt Kenseth will land on his feet somewhere, Just like Kurt Busch did when he parted ways with Roush. Just wonder who will be next.

My First Post
I am a NASCAR fan. I wasn't raised in a racing family, we just watch racing on t.v. I live in California, in the Los Angeles area.
So here I am. I want to share my p.o.v. on NASCAR. Hopefully someone will be interested enough in what I have to say.
